Description
Noticed this one posted up on another site, so I figured I'd share it as well.
This is another pencil rendering from Ray friggin Harryhaussen that I was fortunate enough to get to work on for Blue Water. Just like the Sinbad cover, all I was asked to do was colorize this. No special rendering or anything. Was definitely a lot of fun.
I kept telling Darren that it should be called Ymir vs. N'Sync
As I've said in past journals, I really consider myself lucky. Not many people get even one chance to work over a legend, and I got to do it 4 times. Yup, there's still 2 more Harryhaussen covers that haven't been seen yet
Pencils: Ray Harryhaussen
Colors: me
(c) and Ray Harryhaussen

Wow! That's cool! I just became aware of this series like a week ago.
I do have one question, though- since I haven't read it yet. They didn't make the Ymir a mindless and stereotypical killing machine, did they? I loved the fact that the Ymir was deeper than that in the film.
